Carlisle’s commercial foodservice roots stretch back to 1955, when an Oklahoma-based company called Continental Plastics rocked the industry by creating the world’s first round plastic storage container.  In the late 70’s Continental Plastics was acquired by Carlisle. In the following decades, Carlisle would execute a slew of additional mergers and acquisitions, moves that have made them an industry leader in the modern era.
